"Villa Allegro" is situated at the area of Yerakas in Zakynthos, which isn't a densely populated area. Vassiliko village is one of the most popular tourist resorts of Zakynthos due to its lush natural beauty, the traditional atmosphere and the tranquillity it offers.
Vassiliko village is privileged with a unique combination of mountain and sea nature. The villa is only 200 m away from the beach, with a breath-taking view to the evergreen pine forest and the eternal blue of the Ionian sea.

Due to the fact that the area isn't densely populated, you should arrange for some means of transportation for your convenience. If you like walking, you'll enjoy the beautiful, scenic pathways through the pine forests.
"Villa Allegro" residences are located in an estate of 4000 sq.m. and are 14 km from the town and port of Zakynthos and 16 km from the airport. The best beaches of the island are just a short distance away. The local market, with tourist shops and restaurants, is only 100m from the villa. There, you may easily find whatever you may need.
If you wish to experience the intense nightlife of the island, you should visit the area of Argassi (10 km away), with many bars, clubs and restaurants for every taste.
The beach of Yerakas is a natural bay with a large sandy beach and shallow waters, very nice for children. This is one of the beaches used for millennia by the Caretta-caretta sea turtle for its reproduction. Yerakas area is under the supervision and protection of the Greek National marine Park. Here, there aren't any sea sports facilities or beach bars, although you will find sunbeds and umbrellas to rent.
The other nearby beaches
Daphni beach is a veritable piece of the Paradise: A large, golden beach with a great view to the Bay of Laganas and the small island of Pelouzo.
This is the place where the Caretta-caretta sea turtles lay their eggs. The beach is under the protection of the Greek National Marine Park. You won't find any sea-sport facilities here! You may rent sunbeds and umbrellas, though. The small taverns there operate only during the daytime hours, so that the turtles aren't disturbed. Access to Daphni beach is via the main road to Vassilikos village, and it is a rough ride of about 3 km. Although the road is a tough one, many visitors come to Daphni beach, owing to the natural beauty of the place.
Sekania beach is another of the important places of reproduction of the Caretta-caretta loggerhead turtle, also under the protection of the Greek National marine Park and the WWF, which owns the place.
Porto Zoro is a small beach with clean waters and vegetation that almost reaches to the sea. The two rocks at the edge of the small beach give a very nice atmosphere to it. You may rent sunbeds and umbrellas and enjoy a drink at one of the two sea-side bars. There is also a small Greek tavern by the sea.
Ionio (or "Banana") beach is one of the largest in the island, with shallow blue waters. There are several beach bars along the beach, as well as sunbed and umbrella renters.
St. Nicholas beach has been named after the small chapel of St. Nicholas there. It's actually the most cosmopolitan beach of the island. There are many sea side bars, sea sport facilities and sunbed - umbrella renters.
The quiet beach of Porto Roma with its traditional small tavern built over the shore is one of the best choices to enjoy fresh fish and the traditional Zakynthian cuisine.
